How Does It Handle Denim?
Two to three layers of denim is not an issue for this machine. Here's what one owner has to say:
"Me and my Singer Talent 3323S did our first denim rag quilt. Other than needing a binding, it's done. But I'm gonna get the pre-made binding. I'm sick of measuring and cutting. After this bad boy, I'm taking a break. 3 quilts, 4 lounges pants for the kids all in less than a month. I'm don't till after the holidays. ........probably not. I do love my machine." Here are the images of the projects completed by Desiree.
Now we'll look at some limitations.
Are There Any Downsides to the Singer 3323S Talent Sewing Machine?
Singer, like most manufacturers today, know how to make dependable sewing machines. So, the 3323S Talent doesn't have any design flaws. But there are a few things that could be better with this model.
Industrial grade fabrics
The 3323S does have difficulty handling heavy duty fabrics. For example, this machine will struggle if you are sewing through heavy canvas. And it certainly won't handle multiple layers of heavy duty canvas.
If you're not planning to do a lot of sewing with industrial grade fabrics, you'll be right with the Talent sewing machine.
But, if you consistently work with industrial grade leather and other thick materials, then choosing the right sewing machine for leather is the right option.
The lightweight pedal may feel strange to those used to the solid pedals of older machines. But it'll only take a little while getting used to the lighter feel.
The lightweight pedal may also slide on certain floor types. You can solve this by placing a rubber pad underneath the pedal.
Now we'll look at the warranty.
What Is the Warranty on the Singer Talent 3323S Sewing Machine?
Singer has been making quality sewing machines for more than 100 years, so it is a name you can trust.
If something should go wrong with the 3323 sewing machine, Singer offers a generous warranty. The length of the warranty varies depending on the part.
Defects in the sewing machine head and most of its working parts are covered for 25 years. You're unlikely to need the warranty for these parts as they're substantial. Note though the warranty doesn't cover a breakage if you drop the machine.
The motor and electrical components are covered for five years from the date of purchase against any manufacturer errors or part defects.
All other components are covered for one year under the same terms.
One year of labor is included with the warranty.
If you have to place a warranty claim, it will cost to ship the machine for repairs unless there is a qualified repair shop nearby.
